What we actually do

We repair built-in and integrated kitchen appliances: refrigeration, cooking equipment and dishwashers, from sixteen manufacturers. Almost everything we are called to is an appliance that was expensive when it was installed and is now somewhere between ten and twenty-five years old — the age at which one subsystem ages out while the rest of the machine is still perfectly sound.

That shapes how we work. The valuable part of the visit is not the part fitted, it is working out which part to fit, and being willing to say when the answer is that nothing should be fitted at all.

What we are not

We are not a manufacturer's service arm and we do not claim to be. No factory training, no authorisation, no endorsement — we are independent, and the parts we fit are made to the manufacturer's specification rather than badged by us as something they are not.

We also do not run a call centre that books a slot and works out the rest later. The conversation on the phone is with somebody who wants to know which compartment is warm and what changed last week, because that conversation shortens the visit.

How we are set up

Based in Watertown, which puts most of the inner metro within a short run and the North Shore, South Shore and Metro West within a comfortable one. Engineers are on the road from eight in the morning until eight at night, every day, weekends included. The dispatch line is answered around the clock, because a refrigerator does not fail at a convenient hour.

Licensed, bonded and insured. We hand the licence number to customers who ask rather than printing it on a web page.
